Battery Line Provides True Convenience and Flexibility to OEMs by Offering Premium 2.4Ah and 4.8Ah Performance at 3.6V to 14.4V
NEWARK, N.Y. — November 1, 2008 — Ultralife Corporation, a global provider of products and services ranging from portable and standby power solutions to communications and electronics systems, has introduced through its Ultralife Batteries brand a new line of eight high-performance lithium-ion rechargeable batteries.
Designed for portable and backup applications, including hand-held devices, medical equipment and other critical power needs, these batteries allow OEMs to choose fully-developed, tested and UN transportation-compliant batteries without the long lead times normally associated with custom product development.
"These batteries offer superior performance and the cost advantage and convenience that comes with having standard batteries for design-in and purchase," said Mark Matthews, Ultralife's VP of Sales. "Based upon customer requests and feedback, we are providing solutions that support OEMs in bringing their products to market faster and at lower cost, and these batteries do exactly that."
These batteries offer long life (the ability to be recharged hundreds of times) and, as shown below, a typical operating voltage range of 3.6 to 14.4 volts for both 2.4- and 4.8-ampere-hour run capacities:
Like all Ultralife Batteries brand lithium-ion products, they are lightweight, have no memory effect, offer full circuit protection and a wide operating temperature range.
The UBBL19–UBBL26 range of batteries, available in Q1 of 2009, come in multiple voltage and capacity configurations and with two termination options—either wire leads or terminal connectors.
