Advisory on Ultralife Batteries® Brand Compliance with European Battery Directive 2006/66/EC Labeling RequirementsCrossed-Out Wheeled Bin Symbol In accordance with the European Battery Directive 2006/66/EC, Ultralife Batteries brand consumer and commercial end-use-type* batteries will be appropriately marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol displayed below. Products containing this marking will be available for sale prior to the required implementation date of September 26, 2008.  Capacity Marking Ultralife Batteries brand consumer and commercial end-use-type* batteries will be appropriately marked with their capacity by September 26, 2009, or possibly later, pending the completion by the European Union of detailed rules for the implementation of this requirement including harmonized methods for the determination of capacity, as well as a pending industry request for an extension in the implementation of the capacity marking requirement. * End-use-type batteries are batteries that consumers or end users can come into contact with. Note 1: Component cells, or the cells contained within a battery or battery pack, which consumers or end users are not intended to come into contact with, are not required to contain the crossed-out wheeled bin or capacity markings.
